Store Policies

Returns: If you are not satisfied with your purchase, you can return your item within 1 business day with the receipt for store credit only.

The following items are NOT returnable: Paint, Chemicals, Upholstered Furniture, and Partially-Used Sets or Items.

Storage Fee: Paid items may be held for 5 business days from the sold date for a non-refundable fee of $5.00.

If the item(s) are not picked up during that time they will be considered a donation back to The Stock Pile and returned to inventory.

Member Hold Policy: Members may put any item(s) on hold for one business day. After one business day has passed, if the item has not been purchased, it will be returned to inventory.

Over The Phone Payments: Items seen on Facebook or Instagram may be purchased over the phone. If you are a member, we must be able to look up your active membership number in order for you to receive your discount.

With purchasing an item over the phone, you are allowing The Stock Pile to charge your credit/debit card. In addition to the item, you will also be charged a non-refundable $5.00 storage fee (please see Storage Fee policy above).

Appliance Policy: The Stock Pile has no way to test most appliances, therefore all appliances are sold “AS IS” and The Stock Pile and its employees and volunteers make no guarantees as to the condition or working order of appliances. 

You have TWO BUSINESS DAYS once the appliance leaves the store to return a non-working appliance for STORE CREDIT.

Transport/Drop-Off Policy: Our truck is used primarily for donation pickups. If our schedule allows we can drop off larger purchases for a fee based on the distance to the drop-off location. The Stock Pile does NOT offer transport and drop-off on all items. 

Rates by Mileage:

  • 1-15 miles: $25 Transport/ drop off fee
    • (Canton, Massillon, North Canton)
  • 16-50 miles: $45 Transport/Drop-off fee
    • (Akron, Cleve. Suburbs, Tusc. Kent)
  • Additional fees may apply for large quantities or difficult to deliver items.
  • The Stock Pile cannot deliver to any location further than 50 miles from our store.

Transport and drop-off are not available every day or on every purchase. The Stock Pile offers limited transport and drop-off to assist our customers with large items. We reserve the right to deny transport and drop off at any time on any item. All deliveries MUST be approved by The Stock Pile Manager.

Transport DOES NOT include unloading and delivery of items in your home. To keep prices low, we ask customers to have adequate help to unload transported items at your residence. If a customer is unable to unload items themselves, The Stock Pile will charge an additional unloading fee for unloading the materials.

Transport/drop-off is limited to a customer’s garage, first floor, and outside of a home. Our crew will not bring items to the 2nd or 3rd floors or basements. Someone must be present at the time and date of the drop-off to take possession of items. If our driver arrives and is unable to drop-off items resulting in the delivery being re-scheduled, then an additional fee will be charged to cover time and gas.

*Payment must be paid at the time of purchase in the store. If the fee is paid by check, items cannot be delivered until checks clear.

These policies are a courtesy extended to our customers and members. Any abuse of these policies may be cause for discontinuance. 

Sale Day Saturday and Current Sales

Super Sale Weekend: The last Saturday and Sunday of each month, The Stock Pile runs our monthly sale.

During Sale Days, our members receive 35% off when shopping. non-members receive 10% off when shopping.

All items in our inventory are eligible unless otherwise specified. For example, if we are running a sale on interior doors where each door costs $10, this sale is NOT eligible for Sale Day discounts.  Below you can find any updates on current sales being run in-store.

It cannot be applied to previous purchases, nor will any unused portion be credited beyond its expiration. Member discounts CANNOT be applied when purchasing a Gift Certificate.

Hours and Directions

Hours: The Stock Pile is open Wednesday-Sunday 10:00am-3:00pm.

Directions: The Stock Pile is located at 1387 Clarendon Ave. SW in Canton, Ohio. The warehouse complex is just seven blocks south of Aultman Hospital at the intersection of Clarendon Avenue and Navarre Road. The Stock Pile’s tan and green building is easily accessed from Interstate 77 and Route 30.
